Donde Onde Where connector
Bring donde-onde-where.com into Claude or ChatGPT. Ask which independent restaurants andbars have momentum right now — by city, by neighbourhood, or by name — and get an answer grounded in DOW’s editorial index, with a link to every venue’s full page.
Free, no account, read-only
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to approve. The connector only reads DOW’s public venue index — it cannot change anything, and it never sees who you are.
Add the connector
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste this URL:
https://booteek.ai/api/mcp/dow/mcpThe tools appear straight away — there is no sign-in step. If you are asked to sign in, you have pasted the owner connector by mistake; check the URL ends in /dow/mcp.
ChatGPT supports custom connectors through Developer Mode on its Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans. The same URL works.
Try these prompts
- “Where should I eat or drink in Porto tonight?”
- “What's hot in Cedofeita right now?”
- “Tell me about À Bolina in Porto.”
- “Which Seville neighbourhoods are worth a night out?”
- “What's opened recently in Braga?”
- “Is À Bolina showing up in AI assistants' answers?”
Your assistant picks the right tool, then talks you through the answer. Every venue it names comes with a link to its page on donde-onde-where.com.
What it can do
Six read-only tools:
dow_zonesEvery zone (neighbourhood) DOW indexes in a city, with venue counts and how fast each zone moves. Start here — the zone slugs it returns feed the other tools.dow_hot_listThe restaurants and bars with momentum right now in a city or zone. A leading indicator of who is doing the work today, not a ranking of all-time popularity.dow_venue_lookupOne venue by name: the editorial verdict, what to book it for, signature dishes, rating, review count and a link to its full DOW page.dow_zone_healthHow dense and how active a neighbourhood is — venues tracked, average rating, how many sit at 4.5 stars or above, and who arrived in the last 30 days.dow_recently_addedThe venues that most recently crossed DOW's editorial threshold in a city. Useful for places nobody has written about yet.dow_ai_citation_statusWhether a named venue turns up in DOW's AI-citation probes across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity.
Where DOW covers
DOW indexes independent restaurants and bars in these cities:
UK — Bath, Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester; Portugal — Aveiro, Braga, Cascais, Coimbra, Ericeira, Guimarães, Lagos, Lisbon, Margem Sul, Porto, Setúbal, Tavira, Évora; Spain — Bilbao, Burgos, Cádiz, Girona, Granada, Marbella, Oviedo, San Sebastián, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Valencia, Vigo
This list is read from the live index every hour, so it is always what DOW actually holds. A city that is not on it is not indexed — ask dow_zones in your assistant and it will tell you the same thing, live.
Honest by design
Every venue the connector names is one DOW actually holds, with the figures it actually measured. It does not invent venues, addresses or rankings to fill a gap. Chains, cafes and bakeries are left out on purpose — DOW is about independent restaurants and bars.
The hot list is a leadingindicator: it reflects which venues are gaining attention now, which is deliberately not the same as which are most famous. AI-citation results say how large the sample was, so “not found” means “not in our probes”, never “invisible”.
One thing to know about how assistants work: Claude and ChatGPT may answer a repeated question from earlier in the same chat without calling the tool again. If something looks stale, start a fresh chat — that forces a live lookup.
Troubleshooting
- Asked to sign in? Wrong URL. This connector needs no account — it must be
https://booteek.ai/api/mcp/dow/mcp. - Tools don’t appear? Reload your assistant, or remove and re-add the connector.
- “City not indexed”? DOW covers a specific set of cities. The tool replies with the live list — pick one from it.
- Can’t find a venue? Try a shorter fragment of the name, or add the city. Chains, cafes and bakeries are excluded by editorial policy, so some venues will never appear.
- A zone slug doesn’t work? Slugs come from
dow_zones; ask for the city’s zones first.

Data & privacy
- The connector returns public venue information only — names, neighbourhoods, ratings, review counts, editorial notes and links. No personal data, no reviewer identities, no review text belonging to individuals.
- There is no sign-in and no account, so it holds no identity for you and stores no profile.
- It is read-only, backed by a database role that can only run SELECT against DOW’s public venue tables.
- Your prompts pass through your assistant provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) under their policies, not ours.
Full detail in our Privacy Policy, section 16, which covers this connector specifically. Questions: [email protected]. Looking for the owner-side connector instead? That one is here.
